Communication Consent
Last updated: March 2026
1. Overview
WebVoltCRM enables businesses to communicate with their customers via email and SMS. This page explains how communication consent is collected, stored, and honored on our platform — for both business users and their end customers.
2. SMS Communication Consent
By providing a phone number through our platform (e.g., a customer submitting a lead form), the end customer consents to receive SMS messages from the respective business regarding their service request.
- Messages may include follow-up reminders, appointment confirmations, and quote notifications.
- Message frequency varies based on business interactions.
- Standard message and data rates may apply.
- To opt out of SMS, reply STOP at any time.
- To get help, reply HELP.
3. Email Communication Consent
Customers who submit a lead form consent to receive email communications from the business about their service request. This may include:
- Confirmation of their request
- Follow-up emails from the business
- Appointment reminders or quotes
- Marketing messages (only if explicitly opted in)
Users may unsubscribe from email communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting the business directly.
4. Business User Obligations
Business users of WebVoltCRM are solely responsible for ensuring they have appropriate consent before sending communications to their customers. This includes:
- Complying with CAN-SPAM Act requirements for email
- Complying with TCPA requirements for SMS/text messages
- Not sending unsolicited commercial messages
- Honoring opt-out requests promptly (within 10 business days for email)
- Not using lead data for purposes beyond the original consent
5. Platform Consent Tracking
WebVoltCRM tracks communication consent at the lead level. When a customer submits a form, their consent to be contacted is recorded. Businesses can view and manage communication preferences within the CRM dashboard.
6. Opt-Out Handling
We support opt-out mechanisms at both the platform level and business level. If a customer requests to stop receiving communications, this preference must be honored immediately. WebVoltCRM provides tools to mark leads as opted-out within the system.
7. Automated Messages
WebVoltCRM's AI automation features may send automated follow-up messages on behalf of businesses. These automated messages are sent based on the original consent obtained when the customer submitted their information. Customers may opt out at any time.
